The Bellybelly beauty test kitchen
Ok, so recently I've been experimenting a bit with using homemade or as natural as possible beauty ingredients.
Some of them have been amazing, when used singly (eg, yoghurt face/foot mask, honey, etc) so what intrigues me is the idea that we could be mixing up our own beauty treatments, right here in the Beauty Test Kitchen and trying them out.
Is anyone with me?
I'll start.
Honeylicious facewash
Ingredients: 100% honey
Method: Apply a glob of honey (I use a squeezy bottle) about the size of a 20c piece to your dry skin. Rub it in, paying special attention to your problem spots. Rinse.
Caution: Do not use this if you are allergic to bees/bee products
Results: AMAZING. It seems to really get in and clear those pores out, but doesn't leave your skin feeling 'stripped'. I have tried applying to honey to my face when it was already wet, and it still washes it and feels nice, but it definitely works better as a beauty treatment on dry skin (suspect it might even be the stickiness that makes it work).
I had a cluster of pimply spotty rash on the side of my chin which has mostly cleared up since I started using the honey face wash.
Rating: 5/5 buzzy bees.
