decisions... help?
hi lovely ladies,
it's been a while since i've posted. i'm in a bit of a dilemma, just wanting your opinions on what you would do in our situation.
getting married in a little under 3 months.. we have put TTC on hold for a year (we did TTC last year, we fell first cycle but sadly m/c).... anyway i have just finished my period & am thinking to stop the pill.
i just don't know if we should wait until after the wedding to TTC in case i do get pregnant before the wedding, i'm just being pathetic and thinking what if i won't fit into my dress, or am really sick on the day etc etc.
were you pregnant on your wedding day? how was it?
what would you do?
thanks ladies xxx

I would wait until after the wedding - you never know how pregnancy is going to take you, you'll be given at least one glass of alcohol on the day and given your history I would be nervous about the baby on the day and not enjoy it - you may not, but I probably would be.
Plus you really don't want last-minute alterations to the dress if your breasts grow a lot early on.

I would wait. I too was super keen, but it made the honeymoon extra special to try for baby. Also I was so sick and tired in early pg I would have struggled with the last minute organizing and energy to even go on our honeymoon. I also got skin breakouts on my face and back- not what you want on your wedding day.
So yes I know the feeling of being super ready, but trust me it's worth the wait! Not long now!

I was married loooong before my first pregnancy but personally, I would wait. Had I fallen pregnant 3 months before my wedding with the pregnancy I had with DD I would have been 12 kgs lighter, unable to stand, being wheeled down the aisle attached to a drip and spewing ;)
You might be super lucky and glow and be all awesome pregnant but what if it isn't like that! Be devastating to organise all of that only to have it go pear shape.

I got married when I was 37 weeks pregnant lol! So a bit different, but it was fine :) It's totally up to you, but I think of wait. I suffer pretty bad morning sickness and I'd hate to feel cruddy on my wedding day.

I'd say this is one time that other people's experiences would not be helpful for you as everyone experiences pregnancy different. Some women never feel sick. My husband and I decided to start TTC 3 months before our wedding. Thank god it took 2 cycles to get pregnant. I had hyperemesis starting at 7 weeks-17 weeks so bad I couldn't get out of bed, didn't shower for 5 days at a time, and brushed my teeth maybe once every other day because it'd make me puke. It was horrible and I wanted to die and actually contemplated terminating the pregnancy around 10 weeks for a split second just to get it to stop. I found out I was pregnant 1 week post wedding, and actually threw up on the second night of our honeymoon, at which time I assumed it was the chicken I ate but now I wonder if it was related to implantation hormones. I also looked pregnant at 3 months because of bloating. Some people don't show until 6-7 months. Your experience could go either way and if you do decide to TTC, I'd wait until 1 cycle pre-wedding, so that you avoid any morning sickness you may have if you got pregnant on the first try. Good luck with TTC and it'll all work out in the end, no matter what you choose to do.
