Great Wall cars

Any good

We need to upsize our Toyota hilux single cab ute to a double

Due to finances we have 2 options
A dual cab Great Wall ute or
A second hand dual cab Toyota ute

Aren't the safety ratings very low on the Great Wall cars? I'd go a well looked after second hand Toyota.

Are they ? I don't know much about cars but we have always loved our Toyota cars and have been in a major accident with one and sustained no injuries

Go the Hilux. I think a cheap car like a Great Wall would be fine to buy if you only intend on keeping it for the warranty period then upgrading.

Go the hilux, DP researched the Great Wall when we were looking for a new 4x4 & their safety rating is rubbish. They are cheap for a reason. Sorry, can't remember the exact details.

I know two people that have a Great Wall and they have no issues with them. However, they drive on bitumen only and don't push the car anywhere near it's limits. Neither of them have a family to transport, nor are they the safety research type people.

Yeah probably best to get the Toyota especially since we need it to transport our two kids so safety is important

You get what you pay for. I'd also be looking at what it would cost to repair anything if you had a breakdown. You are way better off looking for a second hand toyota. Even tritons or rodeos/colorados would be good.

Grate wall i dont trust, a neighbour has one, it had to be towed back to geelong where they got it to be fixed after hitting a roo, they wouldnt fix it at the local dealer 0.o

Our mechanic said not to touch them yet. Too many problems.

Only heard bad things about Great Wall!
