Help! What causes this pain?

Ok, this is gonna be longish...

Well, so i've been having pain in my lower right abdomen (ovary region). It's been going for five weeks now. It started 2 weeks before my withdrawel bleed (i was on the pill). After the withdrawel bleed I stopped b/c as we are planning to conceive in a few months. The pain is still there.

Now, it's not really *hurting* as such, but it is a dull ache that is constant (kinda feels like someone pushes their knuckle into your ovarian region). Now and then I get a shooting pain through the area that can go into my leg/groin. Sleeping on my belly can sometimes hurt too, it feels like i'm over-stretching something. Sorry if this doesn't make sense. Of course I went to the doctors and had an ultrasound done. Everything's looking perfectly healthy. No fibroids, no adnexal mass or free fluid. Ovaries are normal size and morphology.
Now i'm just wandering... What causes the pain? The doctor just said: "all fine, you can go" ...ummm...thanks? :lol:
So, any ideas?

Ps: ultrasound was on cd 18, had positive opk on cd 18 and 19 if it helps.

I've had similar pain which the dr explained away as a stretched ligament. Key thing here is whether it goes away over time. If it stays the same or gets worse you need to get it checked out.

Could it be endometriosis? :dunno: That can cause pain radiating down leg and the pill will suppress it. An ultrasound would not pick it up.

Just thought i'd update. The pain is completely gone, which makes me think it really was just a stretched ligament. My period only lasted 2 days with hardly any cramping, which makes me believe that it wasn't endemetriosis after all.
