I know we're not supposed to take too hot showers & baths, but what about heated pools? Our local pools have just started a new Hydro Chi class which I'd love to attend, but it's in the hydrotherapy pool. It's at the pool I worked at as a teacher (and taught in my first trimester but it was wintertime, so they hydro was welcome!), the temp only sits around 28-29 degrees, does anyone know for sure what temp is too hot?
Not sure about the exact temp, but my physio had me in a hydro pool once a week in the later stages of DD1's pregnancy, and there were many other pregnant women there too, so I'd say a hydro pool should be okay.
Not sure either but I was doing pregnancy exercise classes in a heated hydrotherapy pool at my physio most of my pregnancy, she would keep reminding us to keep our fluids up because it was so warm
I had SJD and used to use the therapy pool. My physio recommended it. My medically trained SIL assured me that the baby was safe. After all it was 40 degrees outside in summer. They are well protected in there apparently.
If you are concerned, please just ask your midwife just so that she can advise on your individual situation.
The hydro pool is fine. It's when water gets above 39 degrees that it can be an issue.
I run my normal bath at about 37-38 degrees, which is similar to body temperature.

I'm pretty sure "too hot" only refers to what you would find really hot yourself. So where your skin in turning really pink and you feel flushed and light headed. Anything else is perfectly safe.
Hydro pools are fine a spa would be too hot, that said go by how you feel too if you feel really hot or dizzy get out.
