When does movement slow down?

You'd think I'd know by now. Bub number three has dramatically decreased movement at 32 weeks. I know they slow down as they get bigger but I'm not used to going hours without feeling her and I'm starting to worry.
DD was born at 36 weeks after her movement stopped and my placenta was found to be breaking down. I had an emergency c section after her heart rate slowed.
DS was born at 39 weeks by planned c section. Perfectly healthy we thought but found out later to have a heart defect which has and will require surgery.
I guess I am a little overly nervous due to that. What is normal at this gestation?

None of mine slowed down

I think if it has suddenly dramatically decreased then I would get it checked out just to be safe :)

I was googling this a couple of weeks ago. Bub was non responsive for a couple of hours, so we went into hospital for CTG monitoring. He was fine, just kicking my placenta, so I couldn't feel it. I've read incidences when people think bub will slow down from about 37-38 weeks. Others, that bub doesn't slow down.

i'd go in for monitoring, if you're worried.

If you are concerned or worried get checked out. Bubs movements shouldn't decrease so to say. They can change with bub getting less space, stronger bigger etc.. movements don't mean kicks, kick is just one type. But please get checked out if you are doubting.

My baby's movements slowed at 38 and a half weeks but that was due to his placenta breaking down.. I went up for monitoring and was admitted for monitoring until I was induced. You know your baby better than anyone else, if you are concerned please go and get checked out.. If everything is ok then there is no harm done and you will rest a little easier tonight xx

Just go and check it out. I know it's a pain, but it's just better to be safe...

I remember asking my ob about this and he said they don't slow down or decrease. He told me I needed to come in for monitoring if this happened - which I did quite regulary!

Definitely go and get checked just for peace of mind. DD didn't slow down but the movements were bigger and more "shifting" than "kicky" from around 38 weeks. (can't think how else to describe it)
