Constant loose stools - reasons???
Can I first just say that I'm planning on taking DD1 to the doc, but I want to keeps a bit of a food diary for a few days first.
DD1 regularly has very loose stools. When she was wearing nappies I used to just think they looked like that as maybe she had sat in them. Now that she's toilet training I have come to realise that they are just very loose.
Yesterday I spoke to a friend who's daughter had various intolerances when younger and she said the doc suggested eliminating one thing at a time and keeping a diary to see if they could pin point the reason.
My first thought is lactose. When I was younger apparently I couldn't tolerate cows milk. DH gets an upset stomach if he has too much milk. One of DHs cousins has lactose intolerance. I purchased some almond milk last night and am going to try it for a few days to see if it makes any difference.
Another thought we have is celiac disease. DHs grandfather and a cousin both have this
Does anyone have any other suggestions of things to try before going to the doc? I guess I want to go armed with as much info (ie I've tried 'x', here's a list of what she's consumed) before going so I just don't get sent away and told to try these things or keep a record before going back....
