bleeding (TMI)

i recieved an internal tear when giving birth to my daughter. i didnt ask how bad it was, but i overheard 'third degree', it was a tear in the muscle seperating anal passage and vaginal canal. anyway, it is 11 days since birth and i have been doing number twos relatively easily and regularly. however today i did a number two and there was a minor pain, kind of stinging, and some blood in toilet and on toilet paper. do you think it was from the stitches breaking or maybe a hemarroid (which i have never had before)? i have been having a dose of metamucil to help soften stool since leaving hospital, do you think i should have 2 or three doses to help more? or does it require a trip to doctor? (sorry about the gross topic)

I'd go and have it checked just in case. Or can you call your Dr? Its always better to be safe than sorry with stuff like that :)
