Recommendations for GP in Tarneit, Hoppers Crossing or general Whyndham area

Hello all,

I was wondering if anyone new a good dr in the Tarneit, Hoppers Crossing or general Whyndham area for a general health check up ? Long story short, apart from the birth of my beautiful son the last year has been horrendously stressful and I tried to ask for a general health check up, hormone levels, breast exam etc but the dr seemed quite quick and a little dismissive...not in a bad way but sort of like "Oh you're fine" sort of way IYKWIM? For example I said I had been experiencing pain in my armpit on and off for quite a while now and my mum had breast cancer and had glands removed from under her armpit because of it and he was like " Oh you'll get pain under your armpit when you get your period, it's perfectly normal and nothing to worry about". But it didnt ease my mind and so I wondered if anyone knew of a good dr who actually takes the time to do a proper assessment in these areas. Prefer a female but can live with being assessed by a male. Prefer medicare but happy to put aside money for a proper assessment. Thank you in advance

I see a female GP at Mossfiel MEdical Centre on Heaths road. I don't often go to the GP until I feel like I'm on my proverbial deathbed but she has been great when I go and always understanding. Her hours can be limitng but she always seems to be available for appointment. she has recently moved to bulk billing, and generally that would make me avoid it but i haven't noticed much of a change. she might be worth trying. other than that the handful i have seen in the last 3.5yrs have been awful. Ill PM you her name.

Point cook medical centre is great. Bulk billed has pathology centre in built, dentist and chemist. They have shared care and great drs!

I second Point Cook. We went there while we lived in Point Cook. Just tell them at the beginning of the appt what you want. To be really thorough, maybe book a long appt so they have additional time with you without delaying other patients.
