We bought DS one of those clam shell thingys you can either use a pool or sandpit for his birthday (which is tomorrow). We want to put sand in one side for the boys. But where do you get it from?

We get it from gardening places like where you can buy mulch and stuff for the garden. Its normally pretty cheap.

Depends on how much you want Fiona......Bunnings should have washed sand in bags in their outside bit ...... a sand and soil place usually will only deliver a minimum of say 1/2 a cubic metre which is way more than you want although they might sell you a smaller amunt if you pick it up in say a trailer or ute if you have access to one.
Bunnings for cheap, or you can get nice really soft clean fine whiter stuff from Toys R Us, but it is heaps more expensive..........(we got ours from Bunnings......grit is grit at the end of the day!)
off to bunnings then!
Grrrrrr Friggin Bunnings!! We went there after being told yes we stock that & how much it was etc. They didn't actually have any "in" stock!
Luckily though a smaller local hardwear did & was cheaper too.
We did exactly the same thing for Miss M about 3 weeks ago and she loves it! Does the Birthday boy love it?
Ours is a hit too......just wish we could stop the possums from getting into it and kicking sand everywhere!! (And leaving their dinner mess in it?!! I found a watermelon skin in there yesterday!)
:confetti:Happy 2nd birthday Glenn:confetti:
Hope your having a great day sweety :D
We didnt have a clam shell but we had a sandpit and got a piece of shadecloth from Bunnings nailed one end to the side and nailed a piece of wood to the other side to make a cover to keep out the cat and leaves and stuff, worked really well. You should be able to do something similar.:
Yep it was a hit with both boys!
And when the warmer weather hits.....hours of fun with the hose and platic pots........
