My DSD has an extremely sore belly.. Need advice!!

Hoping someone can give me some advice!

Here's the story.. (DSD just turned 6)

She has been having bad tummy pain since yesterday morning, she would be fine for 30-45 mins and then just be in agonizing pain.. But after that passed (usually about 5 mins) she would be fine again for another short period of time.

Her mum took her to the Dr and he was really no help at all. He told her to bring her back in the morning if she was still sore..

We thought maybe she is just a little constipated - so we gave her some benefibre and she went to the toilet twice. This didn't give her much relief though..

This went on all night and finally by this morning she was screaming in agony so she was bundled up and taken to emergency..
The doctor ordered urine tests which came back ok.
He said he couldn't do anything apart from that and he said to 'bring her back if she turns blue' - I couldn't believe it!!!!

He also said it's probably just a bit of wind or it's in her head..

She is still have some bad pain but has been snoozing for the past 2 hours which she usually never does, I'm assuming she is just exhausted.

I really don't know what to do or how I can help her? Should I take her to a different GP and ask for and X-ray on her stomach to see if there is a blockage or something? Or should I just wait and see as the Dr said..

Any advice would be much appreciated!!!

did they check her appendix?

He felt her stomach where her appendix are and said they were fine..
I just really don't trust anything I have been told as the doctors really seemed to brush us off

I would take her to emergency.

I already did and they just sent us home, should I go again?

I was going to say appendix as well. If she's still in a lot of pain I'd take her back as there's obviously something going on.

My eldest son had a very similar thing when he was 3. He would be fine for 20 minutes then in agony. We took him to emergency and he was admitted for observation and given x-rays which showed that he was very backed up with poo so they said he was constipated, but he was refusing to poo (being only 3) because of the pain so in our opinion the pain caused the constipation, not the other way around. Nevertheless we gave him laxatives and then a few days later (of almost constant diarrhoea because of the laxatives) we took him to the GP who said the pain was most likely colic, basically causing spasms of his stomach, and that this was most likely caused by stress. At the time we had just emigrated from Australia to Scotland and he was very unsettled. Once he was more settled it all stopped.

Anyway my advice would be to take her back and hopefully get x-rays to see if there is a blockage, but also consider if she may be stressed and try and deal with the psychological side of things too. Good luck, I hope she feels better soon.

Our story is similar to trav's dd was chronically constipated her tummy was full of poo and she would have felt 9 mth pregnant. Only an X-ray could diagnose it. It took over 18 months to resolve with visits to dr's a incontinence nurse a dietician and a psychologist. She was on osmolax first than lactulose which are stool softeners rather than laxatives as they have to get over the fear of going and stop holding on. We also had to change her diet by limiting sugar, no bananas but lots of other fruits, baked beans, oats and nuts were encouraged. If appendix is ruled out ask for an x ray.

Forgot to add dad's was triggered by both a carer who took a dislike to her and would yell at her over accidents and anxiety over starting school, it's was a vicious cycle as she would hold on for as long as she could until the pain started.
