Bra fitting

I think I need to go for a bra fitting. My back is aching and my underarms are getting cut into. I can't wait to rip my bra off when I get home. That's not right, is it? Can anyone recommend where to get a proper fitting done please?

I found that Myer was the only local place that I could get a decent fitting and that had a good range. I found a style I liked - bought one, wore it a few days to check it was ok under everyday use conditions and then found them cheaper online to order more. Bras and Things offer them - but their range for my post pregnancy and bf soft, saggy boobs was terrible. Target are advertising fittings as well but I haven't tried them. I think a specialist bra shop would be the best if there is one near you?

If you want a fitting at Myer, ring ahead and find out when the trained fitting staff are there. They don't all know how to do it.

Intimo will come to you and fit you at home not sure how you would find your local intimo consultant though maybe on the website??

I go to a specialist lingerie shop each time I get a new bra, then get the same ones when they are on sale later. I know my sizing changed after having DD.

I went to target. My boobs haven't felt this comfortable in years. Not much range if you're after practical though, but maybe that was just our store.

I forgot about Intimo - they are awesome, but expensive.

The La Figure shop right on the corner at Camberwell Junction do proper fittings. Women in there were lovely, although that was several years ago, the shop is still there.
If you have a bigger bust, there is a terrific specialist lingerie shop in 487 High Street, Prahran that also do fittings and have beautiful bras. They also have stores on Collins Street and in Brighton.

Righto. Ended up going to the shop lime suggested in Collins st and got fitted. Was totally wearing the wrong size. Like, heeeeaps wrong! So I bought 2 new bras and now have about a million bras in the wrong size. What should I do with them?

Give the one in good condition to your local women's shelter because women often arrive with nothing but the clothes they are wearing.
Throw the old ones in a the bin.

Even old bras can be donated overseas. Google bra donation overseas and you will find a group in Melbourne ;)

All sorted. Bra drawer cleaned out. Found a drop off point for uplift charity.
