Mop Reviews

So my journey to find the perfect mop is still continuing. I'm not sure if it's like the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow...

I was thinking maybe I could get some reviews from you lovely people here in bb land for mops you are happy with?

I am wanting a mop for high gloss tiles and gloss timber floors, so ideally a minimal water mop.

Also while I'm at it does anyone have any experience with Ha-Ra?

I haven't used a mop for years! I use a Swish mop with a damp microfibre cloth and spot clean any big marks if I need to (rarely). Our tiles aren't what I'd call high gloss though, we've never had timber, but we did have timber laminate at our last house.

Mum has a steam mop for her slightly ridged gloss tiles ( A Bissell I think? From Godfreys) and swears by it.

No experience with Ha-Ra but we recently invested in a Karcher brand steam mop as the majority of our house is tiles.

I love it and don't know why I didn't get one sooner. No more struggling with the bucket and dripping water onto the floor etc. our tiles are not high gloss but I can't image why you wouldn't use it on them or timber, it is very gentle but gives a really through and effective clean.

You can also add floor cleaner to the water in the machine but I have not found it necessary, just the steam itself is enough to get any stains off the floor.

We have a steam mop, I have no idea what brand as it was a gift from my mum's neighbour who got it for free when she bought a vacuum lol. Didn't come with instructions either haha. We are in a rental with ceramic low gloss tiles and the steam mop is amazing on it. I won't ever go back to normal mopping - I will however upgrade sometime to a more light weight steam mop as this one is kind of clunky. We are building a house & will have vinyl planks, and apparently the steam mop is perfectly safe.

We are in a house that has low gloss ceramic tiles and wooden floorboards. The tiles are not smooth and when we moved in they were really dirty. I have tried a few mops but the one I just bought is the best one so far by a mile. It is a Sabco antibacterial mop from Bunnings. It is getting into the tiny crevices of the tiles well. Now I just need to find my perfect cleaner.

Oh and the best thing I ever did was buy one of those expensive mop buckets on wheels. Before that I hated mopping because this house has a lot of floor space that needs mopping, now it is actually a bit of fun.

I have the shark steam mop and love it! so easy to use and uses minimal water too. everyone I speak to about the shark steam mop love it too. I don't think I have met anyone yet that doesn't like it :D
