Re: Kindy christmas cards
I never have. Totally optional I reckon. My DD1 has only shown an interest this year at the end of year 1. She did transition and two years of preschool before that and has never been interested before.
What the heck do they mean 'not named'?
Re: Kindy christmas cards
Thought it was optional. I try to avoid it, but DD2 sees her big sister doing them for school so she wants to herself.
The unnamed thing is odd. If anything it is a great chance for them to practise writing.
Re: Kindy christmas cards
Thanks lovelies.
The un named thing is so that the teachers don't have to spend hours handing out the right card to the right child. It can have the name of the child it is from but not a specific name for the "to". If that makes sense.
I am reassured that not doing them won't make me and my son a social outcast.
Re: Kindy christmas cards
Normally we just stick them in the pockets that newsletters go in as opposed to the teacher handing them out.
Re: Kindy christmas cards
I wouldn't like the unnamed thing. the point of doing them (for us) is to chat to dd about what she did this year with that specific child, what message she would like to give them.
