eczema and no nappy time

DS will tell us when he needs to/has gone poo and sometimes poos on the toilet. Wees he is not so sure about yet, but has some warning cos yesterday he was no nappy on the couch and jumped off to wee on the carpet.

Yesterday, he had a few hours no nappy (more out of can't be bothered holding him down to put one on than any specific toilet training motivation). He did a couple of wees (no real signs beforehand, but i wasn't watching closely), but the problem is the wee stings the eczema on his legs. I don't want him scared of weeing due to the pain, but not sure what to do. Was thinking of having more no nappy time over summer.

anyone else had this?

No experience but had a thought that maybe you could find some light leg warmers to keep nappy free but help protect the eczema?

I thought of that just when i was typing my post! Will have a look around for some cotton babylegs.

i think he will be ok once he starts directing the wee, but he doesn't have much of an idea at the moment.

Hey hoti you can try a protective barrier cream like dermeze or silica.

I was advise to put that on before taking dd to the pools if she ever went
