Re: Xmas desserts
I am on desert this year and I am also stuck with a plaster cast on my leg so I have gone with some easy options.
I am doing rainbow jelly frog in a pond, fruit platter and a platter of shortbread, salted caramel fudge and macaroons (the last platter are all bought items).
My sil's all seem happy with the variety yet it is minimal work as I am guessing you already have more than enough on your plate.

If you want something easy, you can't get any easier than chocolate ripple cake! It's usually a crowd pleaser too :)

Re: Xmas desserts
Soften a tub of ice cream and mix through whatever yummy things you want...melted chocolate (or chopped Mars Bar, cherry Ripe etc), chopped nuts (pistachios and macadamias are my faves), red and green glacé cherries....or you can go kid friendly and do marshmallows and lollies ;)
Freeze in a glad wrap covered mixing bowl or pudding basin, slice and serve (with fruit if you like).
I think we must be the only family that only does one type of dessert! ;)

Re: Xmas desserts
Creme Caramel, Chocolate Cherry Ice-cream Cake, caramel pavlova, roulade, fruit salad, chocolate mousse, various cheesecakes and vriations on plum pudding have all made appearances over the years.
Minted strawberries, good quality ice cream and fresh mangoes are staples.
