Prelabour in subsequent pregnancies
Just wondering if you had prelabour in one pregnancy, if you had similar levels in other pregnancies?
I had 7 - 10 days prelabour with #1 and #2, but nothing so far. Wondering if this means i am still a week to 10 days away (at least), or if i might miss out on the "is this it?" labour and go straight to the real thing.
Re: Prelabour in subsequent pregnancies
I had some prelabour crampy stuff for DD1 and DD2 for a couple of weeks before. With DD3 I had one day where I had some cramps about a week before she was born. Other than that, not until the day I went into labour. I only got mild cramps every so often that day so thought it was the normal prelabour stuff starting then all of a sudden I was in full on labour and had her 4hrs later. I thought because I wasn't getting any that it was a while away too.
Re: Prelabour in subsequent pregnancies
I had longer and stronger prefab our with dd2 than dd1. That being said I still had about 3 weeks with dd1 and about 4/5 weeks with the second.
Re: Prelabour in subsequent pregnancies
Had about 4 weeks with DD2. One night even had us ringing the hospital and they suggested we come in. But in the end I was induced at 41+6.
Re: Prelabour in subsequent pregnancies
I had the day before actual labour about 2 hours of pre-labour with DS1, with DS2 I had pre-labour for 3 weeks before hand and ended up being induced.
I'd be interested to see how you go with #3 HotI as I am in the same boat expecting #3 and wondering whats going to happen with birth this time round!
Re: Prelabour in subsequent pregnancies
I had exactly 3 weeks of pre-labour with all four children. With my last baby (may 2013) I had some pre-labour pains, I texted my midwife and said I will see you for birth in three weeks... Sure enough to the day she was born three weeks later!
Re: Prelabour in subsequent pregnancies
Absolutely nothing with my first bub. A week exactly second time around.
Re: Prelabour in subsequent pregnancies
I had nothing with my 2nd babe - she was just BANG! straight into it. The last two faffed around for a good few weeks before finally making an appearance.
