How often does your 1year old BF?
After saying to DH a few weeks ago 'I think DD is winding down her daytime feeds' the joke is on me cos she has literally fed non stop ever since!
Do they go through a phase of feeding more at this stage or is it just me. I don't mind except that she does a full aerobics routine while feeding including falling off me while still attached-ouch :)
Re: How often does your 1year old BF?
I reckon when dd1 was around that age she had one when she woke, one before bed and then generally if we were at home, before her day sleeps.
Re: How often does your 1year old BF?
DD had around 10 feeds at 12 months. She had cut down to maybe 5 by 15 months.
Re: How often does your 1year old BF?
Mine both went through a stage of having more at that age. Then not long after slowed right down.
Re: How often does your 1year old BF?
Actually you're right, we were overseas when dd turned 1 and I remember having to bf quite regularly, by the time we got back she slowed down heaps.
Re: How often does your 1year old BF?
I fed both my DS's for teo years each, and at around 12-18mths, both of them had gone back to very frequent feeding during that stage. I clearly remember saying to a friend once with ds2 that I might as well have another baby because I was feeding him as frequently as I did when he was new!
Though after their regression, they did go down to about 2-3 feeds pretty quickly, and then mostly self weaned at 2 years (a little over 2 for ds2).
Re: How often does your 1year old BF?
About 10 during the day. Constantly overnight, I don't notice too much, I just sleep with open access lol.
Re: How often does your 1year old BF?
Would have been at least 8-10 for both of mine, too. (probably more if I actually counted all the night feeds)
Re: How often does your 1year old BF?
A lot. Some days nearly 2 hourly again. That was DD2, but I also remember DS being needier then too. DD1 was only have 2-3 feeds by then so I guess they're all different.
Re: How often does your 1year old BF?
Sounds like we are completely on track then.
She slept through the night for the first time a few weeks ago (yay) but I won't expect a repeat performance anytime soon!
