Our fridge has been making an increasing amount of noise these past few weeks. So I googled fridge maintenance and they said always ensure the vents at the back are free of dust. I am definitely not the best housekeeper in the world and I don't know how long it is since I vacuumed behind my fridge but I did it and guess what??? Fridge back to normal.
So I just wondered am I just completely clueless about this which now seems very obvious? Do other people vacuum behind their fridge regularly?
Um no! It's heavy and due to the cabinets beside it, you can't get behind it! Glad your fridge is working better though!
I barely even vacuum the places you can see! Out of sight, out of mind is my cleaning philosophy :)

Not often, pretty much when I remember to ask DH to pull it out for me, no way I could do it!

I would need a sack truck and two people to move mine enough to get a vacuum behind there. Sounds crazy to me!

Ummm..... No! I see the fridge as a permanent fixture that only moves if you move house or it's getting replaced.

eta: we have a smallish slimline fridge, so it's easy for me to move ;) not sure what I'll do if we get the double door fridge I've been longing for!
I can't get behind mine.
Hasn't been done since we moved here so over three years. Never even think of it but mine is noisier than before so that might explain why.
Nope. I only did it when we moved late last year...was amazed at what was under the fridge though!

Mine is jammed in quite well though... we had to remove the skirting board to make it fit into the cavity & because nothing is lined up right in the kitchen, it still sits a good 8 inches or more out from the wall :/
I did sweep it when the electrician came & had to get in there though ;)

Once or twice a year, but it is easy to get to. Got a good cleaning when a mice died in the motor.:sick:
When I remember yep. It's not hard to pull out. I wonder how you pull out a plumbed fridge?
Me too. I have one of those big french door fridges but best feature it has little wheels so I can pull it out very easily.:
Rouge, my thoughts with the connected fridge would be that you have to get behind it to connect it and then put it in place so you should still be able to pull it out enough to vacuum?
