My roomba vacuums and I use a swish mop.
No, steam mops are no good for timber floors. I wish they were cause it'd make cleaning here much easier.
No, no steam mops, it will take the laminate off the top.
You aren't actually supposed to get them wet :wall:. WTH are you supposed to clean them with I hear you ask :D I asked the installer the very same thing  I've had them 4 years and I've always used a really well rung out mop. I use boiling water and it dries really quickly.
Some use those Swiffer thingos. Some advocate drying immediately with a towel (umm no that's too hard lol).
I also use a really well wrung out mop with boiling water, however no matter what I do I can't stop them streaking! If anyone has any ideas i would love to know!
I clean house and was never told by the owner not to get hers wet. In any case I use a spray mop with hot water, it dries quickly. Pick the red one over the green one, it lasts longer.
I don't have timber flooring, but I put metho in my mop bucket, with hot water. It helps dry the floor quicker. Don't know if that'd help you?
Thanks everyone :)
Bugger I love my steam mop lol oh well.
I went and brought a swishy mop thingyo today and a spray bottle and was going to try vinegar and water, should uave came back and looked at your replys first haha oops. I got a green swishy mop oops lol if its not to good il go get a normal mop and just wring it out and mop that way :D
Metho and hot water is recommended by most timber flooring specialists.
We have the old fashioned hardwood floors. I use metho and boiling water with a splash of Eucalyptus oil to make it smell nicer.
