16 weeks with really bad stomach pains

Hey there, This is my first post and I have a question. For the last few hours I have had really bad pains in my stomach around my belly button area. Rang my midwife who said it probably isn't baby related since my uterus is way down near my pelvis and ligament separation doesn't begin until 20 weeks.

It feels like my belly is being pushed out big time, and runs down both sides of my belly button, so it sounds like ligament pains from what I have read.

I am wondering did anyone else feel ligament pains around 15-16 weeks? It isn't like period pain cramping at all, I did wonder if it was really bad gas, but I don't have anything coming out. lol.

I haven't had any scans done yet, so it feels like I am almost blind in knowing whether everything is ok or not, and I want to wait as long as I can to have any scans done.

It may be something else, but if you're worried, there's no harm going to get checked out.

I would get it checked out.

Get it checked out to be sure bit I got it with each pregnancy every few weeks, it was really painful and the first few times it freaked me out.
