Crutches for a five year old?
Our DS cut his foot quite badly on some broken glass yesterday (side vent, who the hell throws their bloody beer bottles around on a public beach so I have to hold my son down to get stitches - grrrrrrr)
He's got stitches & can't walk on it for a few days but wondering how to manage that? No way will he sit on the couch, he needs to be mobile but I can't imagine he can use crutches?
Any ideas???,

Skateboard or skooter he can sit on and usehands or other leg to move around. Kids tricycle or similar, pref without pedals he can just scoot along. A trolley he can hold on to and hop behind. Pram for longer distances.

I had crutches at 5 years old. As long as they're the right size for him, he'll be fine.
Hope his foot heals quickly.

My sister had crutches at five for a broken leg - she was fine too :)
Give them a go and see how he manages. You can always return if he can't handle them - but he will probably pick it up better than you think :)

I had crutches at 5 1/2 after needing stitches from sliding around on a wet upside down, no longer needed, kitchen sink. Only trouble I had was getting up & down the stairs at home & school.
