Was just looking on line for ideas to do for DDs sleepover for her 12th birthday on Saturday (yes leaving it a bit late!). I saw mention of neon/glow in the dark parties and they decorated white tshirts with highlighter pens. Thought it might be something different but no idea where I would get the correct lights from. Anyone had one or know where to buy the lights?
Theights you're after are called UV lights or black lights. You should be able to pick one up from Bunnings, if not, try eBay.
Black plastic from bunnings. Use painters tape to attach to the walls. And write on it with highlighted markers. I went to a few in my young adult life :) also glow sticks heaps of them.
You can get tubes of 50 glow sticks from the Reject Shop for quite cheap - a few dollars I think. They have connectors that you can use to click them together and make shapes and things - awesome. Buy a few tubes as I found not all of the sticks in each tube worked.
A while ago I saw glow jars, I think you make them with the glow sticks, if you google glow jar heaps will come up, they look awesome!

You could do glow-in-the-dark nail-polish for the guests.
and add a couple of lava lamps for ambiance
