Fatigue. When did yours ease
Ok so I'm 17 weeks tomorrow and I'm exhausted! I sleep about 8 hours a night (with toilet breaks) and try and nap during the day and I'm still exhausted! I am pregnant with my 6 th child. My body is aching. I have to have a belly belt on to support my belly.
So my question is did anyone have Exhaustion throughout their second trimester and when did it ease?
Re: Fatigue. When did yours ease
Me!!! First pregnancy was a dream until late in the third tri which was a drag. With DD2 I was out of my mind tired for first and second trimesters but had a very easy third trimester... So easy I was lulled into a false sense of security thinking I would have another late birth only to be surprised by labour barely an hour into 38 weeks! So there is hope ;)
Re: Fatigue. When did yours ease
I found the exhaustion to be massive this pregnancy for the 1st trimester. It stopped with the ms at 12wks though. If you are exhausted to almost a debilitating point i would speak to a dr about it and get your iron levels checked. My iron levels dropped at about 28wks this time and when they were low i was exhausted, ive since had an iron infusion and i feel more energy again, so it might be something like that for you.
Re: Fatigue. When did yours ease
Oh yes should add I had low iron and vitamin D levels. The low iron in particular influenced my mental exhaustion as much as my physical.
Re: Fatigue. When did yours ease
Oh I am mentally and physically exhausted. Ive been up for an hour and I want to go back to bed! I have an appointment with my midwife next week so I will have it checked out.
I am glad im not the only one. Thankyou for your replies x
Re: Fatigue. When did yours ease
I'm 16.5 weeks and I'm still very tired, but then I'm still on anti nausea medication and still throwing up most days so that is probably part of it......
When has it gone away in your other pregnancies? I would think checking iron levels etc. especially if it is lasting a lot longer than normal, but looking at your signature I imagine you have a pretty full on day and that combined with being a few years older than when you had your last baby is going to have an impact on your exhaustion level. Be gently on yourself :)
Re: Fatigue. When did yours ease
Oh yes the low iron definitely affects your mental state as well as physical. Very wise idea to get levels checked.
Re: Fatigue. When did yours ease
I'm 16 weeks, feeling exactly the same, have taken some Berocca the past few mornings with a big improvement in energy. Might be worth trying.
Re: Fatigue. When did yours ease
I have never had a berocca.. I might get some tomorrow :)
Re: Fatigue. When did yours ease
Just check the ingredients- I think Berocca may be high in sodium.
