icis scared of what I just read
Hi I have has icis once and failed was just reading up on it and came across this on a Sydney internet page which has really scared me has anyone heard this before ;;;(With ICSI the scientist picks the one he/she thinks looks good, but there's a lot you can't tell about sperm by just looking at them. There is some evidence that ICSI might results in more birth defects but the science is inconclusive - they basically haven't been doing it for long enough.)
Re: icis scared of what I just read
ICSI has been done for many thousands of births, and if it is still inconclusive that it results in more defects, then it can only be a little tiny minuscule amount more.
Re: icis scared of what I just read
Hiya yes it is true but I don't think it increases the chance of defects hugely. For what it's worth, I have 2 year old icsi twins and they are perfect. Best of luck to you :)
