DS2 still drools a huge amount of the time - enough that if we don't keep wiping it he would have an almost constant rash below his lip and on his chin.
He's not teething, there's no other health concerns.
Anyone else have this?

Stuff I have found online seems to all be about much younger kids, or kids with special needs, particularly types of palsy.
My son was the same. We think it might be related to his big tonsils... but not sure. I can't remember exactly when he stopped but somewhere between 3 and 4. He's still dribbles a bit at times but it's not as constant as it was. Does your ds have other signs of problematic tonsils/adenoids?
Sorry not much advice for you as we just waited it out. It did get better though and your ds isn't the only one.
Could it be a tongue /muscle control issue? Does he speak and chew/eat foods ok?
No, no sign of tonsil or adenoids issues.
No tongue or muscle issues evident.

Yep, my DS (born Jan 2012) still dribbles heaps. We remind him to swallow his spit (he still doesn't, but hoping it will click), or wipe his chin..
Possibly big tonsils here.
We are on the list for speech therapy, but i don't think his speech is too bad.

Exactly what Hotl said... My niece had this problem, they went to a speech therapist who said they just had to remind her to swallow. It worked!
There are times DS1 is talking so much and so fast he forgets to swallow and drools, we just remind him.

Yep, that's worked with DS1, he just needs to be told to swallow.
DS1 did this due to his massive tonsils - had them removed and all sorted :D

DS1 takes considerable pleasure singing it.
DS2 takes considerable pleasure hearing it being sung for him.
There was noticeably less drool today.

Any possibility of tongue tie?
onthefly, my 3rd bub has just been discovered to have a lip tie and posterior tongue tie.
my older two both had speech difficulties, and im now wondering if they also have tongue ties.
it's one of those wouldn't expect it symptoms. mouth breathing, digestion issues, constipation, posture, snoring... the tongue sits in the wrong spot and has all sorts of knock on effects.
Not that I'm aware of - no other issues, other than the bit of drool - but will keep an eye on it, thanks!
