5 days late… BFN's what to do next
Starting TTC Dec 2014 have had normal 28 ish cylces for as long as can remember, never more than a day late. This month AF didnt show up on Monday as scheduled, waited until Tuesday night and tested BFN. Thought perhaps it was a bit early, waiting until Thursday morning to test again BFN… Tested again today Friday and BFN.
for the last week I have had mild cramps, at first thought was sign AF was coming, my breast are extremely sore and have ”grown” a fair amount in the last week. I have also been feeling a bit sick upon waking up, but trying not too think too much of it and get my hopes up.
Im using First response pink dipping tests if that makes much difference. The instructions say if BFN on first test, try again in a couple of days, if still negative and no period to contact a doctor.
I havent been taking my temperatures, waiting to give it a few months of trying without being so calculated and stressful. Now kind of wish I knew when I ovulated and what was happing with my body!
Just looking for some feedback/advice on what to do next, how early is too early to make an appointment with the Dr? Is it possible I still could get the BPF we are hoping for in the next few days?
Thanks in advance!
Re: 5 days late… BFN's what to do next
If AF is late (actually if you ovulated around 5+ days ago at least) then it isn't too early too ask you GP for a referral to have a blood test done. You will have an answer one way or the other. Good luck!
Re: 5 days late… BFN's what to do next
Thanks for your response. Still no sign of AF today. Think will wait until Monday and test again, if nothing might visit the dr put my mind at rest.
I have read other forums where lady's haven't got a postive for up to 20 days late so feeling better about being at 6 days today. Others that the home tests didn't work for, only got results with a blood test!
Just hard wondering what's happening..

If you have some good symptoms and still no results monday you could always jus go straight for a blood test, most reliable answer!! Goodluck!!

Thanks everyone for your feedback. I appreciate it.
Had light cramps all weekend, and have very tender BB's however tested again this morning (Monday) BFN.
I'm going to give it a couple days.. if no change will make an appointment with the Dr to rest my mind at the very least.
Not easy not knowing what is happening with your body.
