Middle name thoughts
Hi.
We don't know what gender this bub is so we are trying to narrow down name choices.
If it is a boy it will have George as a middle name. My grandads name and he has Alzheimers and it has become quite bad over the last few months.
I started thinking that if bubs is a girl we could still use George or a feminine variation.
Top 3 girls names in order or preference are
Elizabeth
Layla
Hannah
The other plan was to have Marie as the girls middle name. That is after DH Nana that passed before DS was born and would have been used if DS was a girl.
So your thoughts would be appreciated. I know they are just middle names but I feel very strongly on using names that have meaning or personal connections.

Re: Middle name thoughts
I love having middle names that have a family significance.
How are you pronouncing "Marie". Is it like Maree, or Mar-i (short i sound, rhymes with Georgie) ?
Do your other children have one or two middle names?
We gave our DS two first names, then one middle name which is my dads name. Seemed to flow better that way.
Keep in mind she may not like having a "boys name" when she is older, but a feminine form can always be made masculine.
I love the first names you have chosen. Very classic.

Re: Middle name thoughts
It will be Maree sounding.
DD1 hates her middle name. Even after I tell her why she has it. I told her that if at 18 she still does not like it then she can change her name.
All 3 kids have only 1 middle name each.

Re: Middle name thoughts
I like Georgia Maree/Marie. Uses both family names then
Or Elizabeth Georgia
It's a beautiful to incorporate family names when they have a special meaning

Elizabeth Georgina
Layla Georgette

Re: Middle name thoughts
Thanks fairy floss.
Ladybirdflies. Thank you. Girls names are so much easier for me then boys. I had thought of Georgina but I thought it already had a bit of a two name sound to it. Georgette is the same I think. But they are lovely.
I keep going back to Georgie and I think the reason why is I remember when some of my Grandads mates use to call him Georgie Porgie. He is not a big fat man but he always has a roundish belly.

Re: Middle name thoughts
If it is Maree sounding, then I quite like Georgie.
Can I change my vote? :)
