Caserean Scar
I gave birth to my son 4 weeks ago via emergency caserean and I have a question about the scar.
After the birth my stomach went down pretty quickly, and I had a flat tummy before I was pregnant. After the casear, I noticed that above the stitch there was almost like excess skin sitting above the scar. I thought that it was from my skin stretching over the 9 months, but now 4 weeks later, I've noticed that the skin hasn't 'lifted' or flattened.
I may sound vane, but I am worried that there will be a flab of skin above my scar forever. Does anyone know if it gets better in time? Or did the dr not sew it right and left too much skin there?
Also, now being 4 weeks after the surgery, is it ok to start exercise? If so, could I use an exercise bike?
Many thanks!

my midwife told me to wait starting exercises until 8 weeks after caserean
i think your skin will 'lift' in a few weeks (if its no fat :D)
there's an adage in german:
pregnancy comes in nine month, pregnancy goes in nine month :)

I had an emergency cesear too and my skin hasnt gone back to normal :( Your skin goes under a HUGE amount of strething when you have a baby and I guess it just depends on how elastic your skin is and wether is goes completely back to normal or not. The joys huh!

apparently it is normal to have an overhang of skin, i have a little one... And my c/s was 14 weeks ago. It will get better in time, but the skin will alwaysw be liket hat for some reason...

I've heard that most women get a litle bit of an overhang when they have a c/s.
