Bowel movements

Hi

My DD is 3weeks old, and has about 8wet nappies a day & about 2 pooey nappies at least

I thought that he should be doing more pooey nappies then this.. is 2 OK? i know he has a lot of wet ones, but i am concerned about his bowel movements.. he does have reflux & Colic...

Sounds okay. I think as long as they aren't a thick consistency & he is doing 2 easy enough he should be fine. Is he on formula or breastfed? Breastfed babies tend to do more poo's but I think Matilda's settled down around 4 weeks...HTH!

Maggie, Lexie is only 2 weeks old, is breastfed, and she only does a poo every other day.....a HUGE one each time!

Gee.. our 8 week old breast fed bub does a poo every 2nd day but at 3 weeks was probably doing 2-3 per day. If it resembles runny satay sauce, I'm sure he's fine.
I'm sure your little guy is ok, but you could always ask your health nurse if you are worried.

LOL Maybe it was my breastfed newborn who liked to do multiple poos daily...
