Pregnant?

Hey guys,

I have a few questions. I have been trying to conceive for a month now, and I havent got my period yet. It is day 29. I am waiting till day 35 to do a pregnancy test if i still dont have my period, because i just got off the pill and my period came usually aound days 21 to 35 (it varies). I have noticed for at least a week now that i have sore niples and i have some cramps, like i am going to have my period. I have had these cramps for two weeks, and normally, they only come a few days after my period.
Could i be pregnant?

Kim,

Go and buy a pg test kit and check yourself out!! It certainly sounds possible, but a test would be a good way to find out. I think the ones from the supermarket/pharmacy work within 2-3 days of missed AF?? Its hard with just coming off the pill, your body could be a little mucked up, but anything is likely.

I was convinced AF was going to arrive any second - I didn't even consider I was pg I felt so like I do before AF arrives (cramping etc). In fact, the cramping went on for longer than when AF arrives normally, which sounds like you, and the sore nipples sound like a good sign.

I went and got the test yesterday. It says you can use it 7 to 10 days after conception. I did it this morning. It came up with a really faint positive straight after the test, it was pretty hard to see, but after a while it came up even stronger. It is pretty cold here, and the packet said that cold may affect the result (makes it harder to see), so i will try again in a couple of days.
But i think that this means that i am pregnant!! And i am so excited, i dont think it has quite sunk in yet!!

Yay! :cheer: Goodluck for the next test. But i would say you are pg as, like Shannon said, they usually don't give a false positive.
