Cravings
After discussing bizarre cravings with Gypsy yesterday, I have been compelled to start a 'reveal all' thread in search of the grosest pregnancy craving out there!
I'll start and say that some funny cravings I have when pregnant were:
- Suimin instant noodles, but chucked out the noodles and only had the juice!
- Icing sugar in a cup!
Obviously my body was craving salt then sugar!
Who's next? :D

I don't think my boss was all that impressed when I turned up to work one day with a sardine and pickled onion sandwich!! Still sounds nice to me now!! LOL
Well, when I was pregnant I turned into a cheese, milk and olives freak! Couldn't get enough of them!
Also, anything sweet made me want to throw up - so much for the old wive's tale that craving savoury foods means you are having a boy!!
I reckon Kel's Suimin thing is SOOOOOO funny! What a dag!!

Hamburger
Every day...all day I crave a huge juicy hamburger with greasy chips!!!
The weird thing is I have only been eating meat for a few months prior to PG and hamburgers were not on my need to eat list ever!! I was vego for 4 years!! And I usualy hate greasy food! I used to not eat anything fried....but now mmmmmmm.......

With number one, I craved peanut butter sandwiches every day. I HATED peanut butter before that! Didn't have anything with the other two though.
-
I craved sun-dried tomatoes, big time. It was a serious and expensive addiction! Just tonnes of them, on their own or in some nice soft bread. Other than that I had no appetite at all really. Oh, yeah, also plain potato chip and sundried tomato sandwiches too! And tomato sauce sandwiches. And sweet coconut rice pudding.
I used to love peanut butter before I got pregnant, and whenever I ate it when I was pregnant I got really really sick -- so I stopped having it, because I was worried it may mean the baby was allergic to peanuts or something. I haven't been able to stomach peanuts ever since. I don't really like coconut rice anymore either :x

Its funny what some women crave while they are pregnant. I remember hearing some women love smelling washing detergants etc, very weird!!
-
i also craved the instant noodle juice! but I ate the noodles too... then DH decided I was eating too many noodles and not enough "real" food with nutrients and wouldn't let me buy anymore

Oranges. Mandarins. Tangerines. Orange Fanta. Orange flavoured icy poles. Orange Starburts. Orange jelly. Orange snake lollies. Orange juice........I am not kidding, I drink about 2 litres a day! Anything orangey, especially the fake orange flavour!

hi girls,
If you read my earlier post you will see I had a craving for all things tomato, especially sundried tomatoes -- well the craving came back with a vengeance a whole week before my BFP. I knew as soon as I had an unstoppable craving for sundried tomato that I was pregnant again
Yummmm
Another thing I've been craving a lot is polenta, and yesterday I made little polenta toasts and put thick thick vegemite on them :P
Polenta with Sundried tomatoes! mmmmm

Hi there.... I'm off the hamburger cravings now and onto Poweraid or sports drinks... I don't know but its been the only way to curve nausea & vomitting (still, I know)...
Hot chips still rear its ugly head now and then...

With Emma it was anything Lemon ... lemonade icy poles, lemon squash, lemon cordial, lemon chicken, lemon chupachups ... the list goes on.
With Jack I dont really remember ... spent a lot of time sick and then I think it was probably hot chips.
This time ... pickled onions, gherkins, hot chips with gravy, cheese & onion chips ... so sour or salty :? Spent a lot of time not feeling like eating with this one either ... oh yeah the other thing is cereal at night time before I go to bed.
Cheers

My cravings were pretty boring. All I wanted was ice cream, but not any ice cream, Baskin Robbins ice cream. I drove my partner nuts. Every night nearly we would have to drive to Baskin Robbins so I could get my fix. In the end, however, I finally settled for ice cream brought from the supermarket. Thank god because Baskin Robbins ice cream isn't really that cheap.

My first craving was just b4 i found out i was pregnant and it was hot chips dipped in cadbury cream eggs,

I was always craving chocolate about ten minutes after the shop up the road shut. Then I bought multi-packs, and I don't have as much of a problem. Just wanted what I couldn't have I guess. It was funny, even if I couldn't see a clock, I knew when it was 8:15pm!
Oh yeah, and on new year's eve (or very early morning day) I wanted gherkins. Specifically sliced gherkins, on Arnott's savoury flavoured shapes. I almost made my partner walk down to a 24hr McDonalds, the urge for gherkins was that bad. But by then it was 3 or 4 am, and I felt too guilty. The next day, I didn't want them anymore. That was weird.
Can anyone top that?

I remember when I was pregnant I craved frozen lasagne & fried egg, fried onion sandwiches.
One thing I was madly craving for was soft serve ice-cream but as we all know it is a no-no during pregnancy. Poor DH would have to drive the long way home so we wouldn't pass a McDonalds or when we went shopping we would have to totally avoid Wendy's or Mr Whippy.
Did or does anyones craving drive their partners crazy??
