safe undergarments??

Hi girls,

Sorry this might sound like a really dumb question :oops: , but I need to know if wearing one of those bodysuits (all in one bra and nickers) is ok during pg? I know gurdels (sp?) are a no go but not sure about the other things, in my head I think they should be ok cause they are essential like a one piece bathing suit but with a bra. Please let me know what you gals think?

Im having a dress made for my BIL wedding and I was suppose to get a gurdel thing, and I have my first fitting on Saturday and now I dont know what to wear under the dress!

As long as its not tight to hold you in or cutting in anywhere I don't see the problem. Do you have to wear one, though? Can you wear a strapless bra?

If you do have to wear one, maybe you could get it a size bigger. Thats the joy of being pg - you can let it all hang out and you have a fab excuse, lol..

No it wont be one of those 'control' ones. and maybe I will get a bigger size. Its just so the dress sits a bit smoother IKWIM? And the wedding is in Jan so I doubt that we would have announced it to the wider family - they will probably think im just super fat! LOL!

I heard that you shouldn't wear underwired bra's when you are pregnant because the wire can damage the delicate tissue as you boobs grow, do you know if this is right?

I wore underwire bras all through my last preg and have during this one too. Even whilst b/f i was able too on the odd day. I think as long as it's not too tight and digging in you'll be fine. Just be sure you're comfy! Have fun at the wedding! :)

Bess your right underwire bras shouldn't be worn during pg. They can cause milk ducts to be blocked also. It is suggested that pg women wear a soft cup bra also
