HI,
I have heard that subsequent babies usually are bigger than the previous one. I was just wondering if anyone knows whether this is true or not. My last was 9 pound 7 ounces and I dont want this one to be any bigger than that. :frown:

Hi Pholmes,
I dont know if this helps but my mum had me 8pound 6ounces, then my brother 10pound 10 ounces, and my youngest brother 8pound 4ounces. So going by that, i dont think its true. As they say 'every pregancy is different'.

I've heard this too and my OB said it's one of those things that is generally true, but there are definitely exceptions....like that helps
My first was 7lb 3oz born at 36 weeks and my second was 8lb exactly, born at 38 weeks. When you take into account the two weeks difference in gestation between them I would say mine would have been pretty close to the same size - had my DD gone to 38 weeks she would have been close to 8lbs as well by then.
I don't think it is true.
1- 7lb 8oz
2- 9lb 7oz
3-8lb 5.5oz
4-8lb
5-8lb 9 oz
6- not sure but apparently it is a good size at this stage.

My friend's first baby was 9lbs
Her next one was over 10lbs and was deliverd via c/s early!
Another friend had her first baby weighing 8lb4oz and her next was 10lb2oz!
My 3 sisters and I all got bigger as Mum had us...
But there are people that have different experiences for whatever reason
Milo was 10lb 3 (or 4, not sure!).
I sure hope the next one is not too much bigger than that.
