Hey there,
not sure if this has happened to anyone else - I was wonering if it might be hormone related - a heap of my moles have changed colour and shape - they are moles that are not exposed to the sun - so I'm not sure what's going on.
I'm going to the Dr to get it checked out - but I thought maybe it might have something to do with hormones - anyone had anything similar?

I had a mole on the side of my nose forever and it had never changed, but when I was pg with Lindsay, it grew and became more prominent, so I had it removed and luckily it was nothing sinister. I have had a few on my back grow too, but I can't have them removed because it will cause bad scarring, so we are keeping an eye on it. I do believe that the pg hormones can make them grow a bit, but it is important you get them checked to make sure.
I visit a dermatologist every year or so to get my moles checked, and apparently it's pretty common for them to change due to the hormonal changes in pregnancy. It's definitely worth getting them checked just in case, though!
I also noticed changes in my moles while preggers...I must get them checked when I get the chance for some 'free' time... I even got a lot of new little moles (even on my boobs!) while preggers...yuk...
I noticed that my freckles and moles all got darker during PG, Em. I think it's something to do with the hormones affecting skin pigmentation?
How did you go at the Doc?
