Update on my PP check
I went back to my ob today to find out what needed to be done re: my scarring & healing issues.
I have to have surgery! :crying:
I'm going in on March 27 to have vaginal repair surgery.
I have to stay in hospital one or two nights (I don't even want to think about leaving Noah for that long at the moment!)
He said he didn't think he'd ever seen anything like what happened to me (this coming from an ob who's been in practice 35+ years!).
He explained it as: when he was stitching me up, all the tissue was so damaged it was like trying to sew up jelly, there was no integrity in the tissue at all (which is why it took so long to try & stop the bleeding)
I asked the doctor if it would affect any future births and he said if I was his wife or daughter he would recommend a Caesar. As he said, they couldn't guarantee it won't happen again and if it did, the tissue would be more unstable, and therefore less suited to repair.
At least he didn't do an internal I guess! :frown:

Oh Lotus you poor darling. All the best for the operation. I will be thinking of you. Sounds a tad nasty re the 'repair job' he had to do after Noahs birth....ouchy.
Take it easy from now til surgery.
Big hugs for you :)

Lotus, my Dr thought i would have to have surgery as well, but not at this stage, i'll be thinking of you though, i understand how you must be feeling...i too was advised of the possibilty of needing a c/s next time

((Hugs)) to you right now, Lauren. I guess the only thing I can say is to look forwards to feeling much better once the surgery has healed.

Sorry to hear. I have't read all your previous posts but I feel for you. I've got issues too! My OB mentioned a possible re-cut and re-stitch job. We'll see. I've just finally seen the GP today for a second opinion and further referrals. So scary.
I hope all goes well for you.
