Anyone had a short AF before BFP?

Hey gals,
again I'm probably clutching at straws here. But to give you some background... I had AF type cramps on Monday (11dpo)this week (AF due Friday), then AF came on Wednesday (13dpo). I had a medium flow for Wednesday and Thursday (tamponable), then today (Friday) nothing- no spotting or anything. An ultra short AF for even for me (I usually tend to have 3-4 days of AF).

So for the hell of it (as i've also weakened and done in previus cycles) I did an HPT. I used a different brand than usual - the pregnosis one you float with a "floatie" ring. Never used this brand before, and there is a very very very faint line - DH can see it, but we both think it might be an evap line - only because I've already had what I'm sure was AF. Never had an evap line before, but also not used this brand before. I didn't use FMU, and AF was only due today - so i'm wondering if there's a chance it's a positive, but just very weak.

Guess what I'll be doing is wait two days, then do another with FMU - maybe with a different brand - unless this is a waste of money of course. Might try checking my temp tomorrow morning too, that might give me a bit more of a clue.

Has anyone out there had an actual AF, which still ended up in a BFP ?

It looks like your temp dropped at 13dpo so it looks like it could be AF (sorry). I hope I'm wrong. My last AF was extremely light and only went for two days (usually quite medium/heavy and lasts for 5 days) but there was no BFP afterward (I wish). I think your suggestion is right on the mark - wait a couple of days, use FMU and fingers crossed for you.

I really hope your temps go back up tomorrow though. I'll log on again to see what happens later on this weekend.

I'm not feeling flat or excited or anything, just a little confused, though i've already pretty much deciced it must just be an inaccurate result. i dont have confidence in this brand because it's new to me. Wish I'd taken morning temp today but will just give it a go tomorrow. I agree tho, a drop in temp always conincides with AF for me.

Just that you occasionally hear stories about people who get AF even tho they're pregnant !! tho i know that's very rare... (i think)

Must've been an evap line - oh well I guess I know what they look like now ! - my temp was still down when I checked this morning.
