Surgery Costs
Hi
I have read previous posts about the costs associated with laps etc however i have a more specific question.
I am scheduled for surgery in late May and have been frantically trying to find out how much it will cost me. I am going in as a private patient and was wondering if anyone has ball park figures of the prices associated with the surgery when you need to pay "the gap".
I had no idea how about all these asscociated costs. I will be calling tofind out if the surgeons participate in the NO gap but was wondering if there was anything else i should check like pathology?

Yes pathology will be a seperate cost along with the head surgeon his/her, assistant surgeon, as well as the anaethetist. It is to hard to give figures as all surgeons prices vary greatly. My Dr, (head surgeon) charges 6900 per op, this isn't inlcuding anyone else in the theatre with him. I also had to pay the colorectal surgeon 3500 also, as well as the assistant and anaethetist. I was a private patient, however I can't remember how much we got back. I also had 2 ops to rid the endo... At the end of the day I didn't care as I was in for surgery within the fortnight and was pain free one month later and still am 12 months later.....Good luck...
