Hi Ladies
Yesterday I went to the doctors and I asked her to check if I was starting to dilate.
She said I was 3cm and did a stretch and sweep. Anyway I had contractions for 4 hours last night, went to bed and they stopped. :(
But today I just went to the toilet and had 2 huge blobs (about 20cm each) of brown stringy mucus.
My question is this: Did I just have a show or could it be the result of the internal exam?
Can a show be brown?
Hmmm I thought if it was a darker brown in it it could be from an internal exam or sex....could definitely be wrong though...
Hope it's all happening for your sake though!!!
I lost a part of my plug a few weeks ago and it was a clearish brown colour, it would be way tmi if I described what I thought it looked like.

I had the same thing within 24 hours of a S&S.
However I was induced the following day and not allowed to wait and see if it worked on its own.
Sounds like it is the result of the S&S.
I had a S&S when I was 3cm dilated and it got things going for me, though I was already 8 days overdue anyway.
Hopefully it will get things moving :crossfingers:

To me it sounds like part of the mucous plug coming away.
