Welcome to July girls! Wow I can't believe it's already the 7th month, what is going on, JEssica is 10 months tomorrow and Joshua will be 6 in 13 days. I have to get the rest of his bday pres, a collingwood doona cover and I am starting to get worried as I haven't heard yet whether they are in or not, I may have to ring today and see how they are going with the orders.

I am going to sneak out and do some shopping as we are low on everything, on the last toilet roll so things are getting desperate LOL.

LOL Kellee- talking would do no good as he has 2 parents who barrack for Collingwood. Although his best mate barracks for lions and they are his 2nd team, much to his father's disgust.

We are waiting for Arron to come home with pizza and the kids are very tired and very hungry. I still haven't been to the supermarket for groceries and now don't know if I could be bothered. I must force myself though cos we don't have enough tissues to use if the toilet roll runs out, plus we need more breadLOL. So while Arron sits and watches the footy I will cruise the supermarket.

Hope the shopping went well Kellee and it must feel good to not have small enough tops ! How many kgs have you lost now?

Where is everyone? I know it's only the second of the month, but you guys are normally typing demons. Come on!

In response to your question, Mitch, I have lost 21.8kg (but who's counting?! :D ). I'm almost at what I want to be (only 1.1 to go). I did end up buying some cool shoes for Colorado - 2 pairs for $90. I ran into a guy from uni who I hadn't seen for about 2 years - he thought it was very odd that I was a Mum!

Anyway, must dash. Damn having only one car - I'm going to have to wake Charlie up in about 10 minutes because I have to take DH to a rehearsal. I anticipate that I will be a rehearsal widow for the next 6 months because everyone has now returned from that conference in America and they're all very motivated. Problem is that only one other person in DH's ensemble is married and no one else has kids, so they don't know what it's like and they're not very understanding about it. I have told DH that he HAS to have the weekend of the 12-14th August off for Charlie's birthday. I bet the group will kick up a stink about that... *sigh* I'll let you know it goes.

just spent all of last night trying to do my new ticker - i put one with a photo of lani in (my aunt took the picture on her digital a while ago and i had it in my computer somewhere) lol i am definately not computer literate, i can type but thats about it, i am getting there tho.

wow kellee that weight loss is absolutely tremendous i really want to shift a few extra kg's b4 ttc, i always put on 20kg each pg but have found the more i get pg the harder it is to lose at the end and my back is so big it's gross lol. am starting on monday to walk with my neighbour every night so that will be a start.

hi michelle - how was dinner did you get your pizza lol and did the kids go down nice and early for you. btw i am finding it really easy to quit i am amazed at how well i am coping touch wood hope it lasts. i guess as i only smoked between 10 and 15 per day it is a little easier.

welcome to the newies gosh it goes quick doesn't it. got the kmart toy catalouge today and have organised lani's pres for her birthday and also xmas pres for kids and nieces and nephews just have to go down and layby them on thursday when it starts. have done it for 3yrs and works well for me, i only buy usually the big expensive stuff that we want to get anyway like this yr for jay it will be a new bike and a basketball ring and a race car track then later on i get all the little bits and pieces. i am a pretty good budgeter and i tend not to go overboard.

got some bargains yesterday, went to myer and got my neice a cute little skirt in size 3 marked down from $25 to $3, i got some bathers for her earlier in the year for $6 so far i have 2 pairs bathers and 2 little skirts and spent a max of $15 all i need now is some sort of toy and that is one xmas pressie done lol. i tend to pick up stuff throughout the year when i see stuff ultra cheap and put it away for birthdays and xmas, i store it all at my mum's in her spare wardrobe lol it looks like a shop.

well i hope you are all well, i think lani is going through a growth spurt she is back to drinking 4 bottles plus all her breaky, lunch and dinner i don't mind as she is skulling all 260mls of her bottle and is obviously wanting it so we just tend to go with the flow here no hard or fast rules lol. she is asleep now been a bit of a bugger today so far only had around 45mins since 7 this morning not like her she usually is like clockwork 2hrs am and 2hrs pm, at least when she is up she is happy and not sooky.

hope you like the new ticker, the photo isn't the best and miss lani has her serious look on, i think it was taken when she was around 7mths old, she is starting to smile a lot more now when the camera is out - oh and she said dad today (being saying mum for months tho :D lol)

Michelle love the ticker it's a cute pic of Lani too. Great news on the smoking, I found the same as you are and we prob smoked about the same amount too. The walking sounds like a great idea. It is good to be organised, my prob is I seem to see better things closer to the time, and I have found that in Sept a heap of new stuff comes out and the stuff they had on sale in July isn't as good, or the kids see something new and they really want that, so we end up spending heaps more. Sounds like you have picked up some great bargains. I wish Jess was having a growth spurt, She mainly drinks 200mls in the morning, leaves 60ml for her brekky, then I don't make more than 180-200mls for the lunbch and arvo bottle cos she is lucky to drink all of it. Adn I make 260mls for bed but she mostly drinks just over half. She eats brekky and dinner fine, but is picky with lunch. I am still waiting for the 3rd and 4th teeth too. She was pushing the walker around last night and starting to turn it the way she wants to go, and she took 2 steps from my leg to the chair where Arron was sitting last night, we were so surprised. She is 10months today....oh where has it goneLOL

Kellee- school hols in Vic mean I have less waffling time and more stressLOL It is tough when none of the other performers have kids cos it's the same with the footy club Arron is playing for. Most of the guys are in their 20's, no kids, some gf's, even the coach (our neighbour) is only 28, has a DP but no kids or anything, it also makes it hard on Arron cos thery are always asking him to go do stuff and he feels like he is missing out. Good buy too on the colarados. You haev done so well to loose that amount of weight, is that the lowest your weight has been for awhile or forever? It is so tough being a girl I reckon, there is so much pressure as a teenager to look the right size and not even really from friends so mucha s from fashion and tv and mags. I think most girls have some sort of eating disorder at sometime in their lives. Good on you for taking control of your life and being happy with who you are is the most important thing really, not beinga number on the scales. *steps down off the soapbox* sorry!LOL

I went out delivering wallbuddies to my friends and while I was out my stupid annoying MIL dropped by....on the doorstep was a bowl of vege soup (cos she thinks I can't organise our dinner or something plus her darling ds (arron) told her it was the best soup and so now she'll bring it here all the time) and also the really cheap wall deco's that you get from the market except she has brought them from someones crappy garage sale. I don't know how many times I have to tell her we don't want other people's garage sale **** but since she knows I am buying the wall decos from wallbuddies she shouldn't have brought them cos they are so crappy compared to what I have brought. GRRRR! What is it with MIL's? Mine is just like Raymond's mother (Everybody loves Raymond) if you need a character profile, very annoying.

So now I have to be a right ***** and tell her we don't want them! I did my groceries last night at 9pm and spent 1 and a half hrs moseying along the aisles, but the bummer was I had to put it all away by myself when I got back cos Arron wouldn't help. So at 11pm I was putting stuff away and very tired.

Anyway where is everybody else, we have newbies but no sign of them. Hi to Kelstar78, Mumzofgirlz, Iris & Carmen, I know Iris is around but what of the others? I haven't seen Carmen on since Luke was very little, hope she's doing ok.

lara - we don't get much junk mail so i went to the desk at kmart today and asked for the catalogue so that was good - poor jay all he has circled is an x-box (but i don't think he will be getting that - maybe for his birthday next year dunno) mostly this year will be outdoors stuff and games and jigsaws. they have a great alphabet peekablocks for around $30 which am thinking of getting lani for xmas and to paul's disgust for lani's birthday i am getting her one of those inflatable things with the balls - like a ball pit - they are also around $30 there is a princess one or one like a fort with a slide thing - think i will get that - gunna look great in the playroom lol.

what was i saying about miss lani asleep b4 nup she only had 1hr she is such a naughty baby today lol (her gums are swollen top and bottom looks like 2more top and 1 more bottom on there way) anyway she got up and just crawled around the house - get this singing, well i call it singing it's her new noise oh and her favourite toys all jay's bob the builder stuff he wanted me to put away (for our next boy baby he says lol) she just pushes along dizzy, scoop and lofty and has a ball - i love that my kids just play with whatever and we don't push gender specific stuff - i remember jay as a 2yr old his favourite toy was a doll in a pusher lol.

Lara- I am hoping that isn't a bad thing?LOL I have always been talkative, guess that was why I became a teacher, gives me my own little audience! LOL I would love to meet up with you again, of course the prob is the kids, cos Alana can't catch a cold so that makes it tough, and I wouldn't want my kids to give her something that's for sure. You are right though, Alana will do what she wants to when she wants to, and she also doesn't have 3 older kids to chase aroundLOL.

Michelle- I am with you on crappy tv, I don't like footy much and hate cricket and tennis so it doesn't leave much lately, and anyway, Arron lioves all 3 and controls the remote. Only thing that kept me away last night was my brother and his new gf, who I got along really well with, we are the same age, almost the same height (amazing for short people), she has kids the same age as Jordan and Josh, she is a nurse and I am a teacher and we have similar personalities by the look of it....it was loads of fun. I even had a coiuple of drinks and it was good. Of course went ot bed at 130am so m=not much sleep but that's ok.

I must check the letterbox for catalogues, haven't seen the kmart one. Poor jay wishing for his xbox michelle. When he does get it it will be all he wants to do so I agree the outside stuff is better. I also like the idea of the ball pit thingy, Lani will love it, but we can't have one cos i have so much mess now that' it's not funny!

Anywaybetter go and make jess' bottle and change her stinky bum.

Michelle its definitely a good thing that you talk heaps. Actually Frank is a huge chatterbox. This morning I had to say to Frank "Please donnot speak to me for 5 minutes". Alana and Frank just didn't want to shut up. I had only been up for half an hour and felt like my head was going to explode!LOL!

Winter is **** for Alana, poor bugger. I love winter but I can now see that I am going to be a summer person from now on. At least there isn't that fear of her getting sick in summer and she can play outside. Alana really loves other kids. She gets all excited and gets really loud. It kinda makes me feel sad.

Lara- I'm glad it's a good thingLOL, I would hate to thnk I was annoying anyone. Funnily enough I am actually the quietest member of my household, between Arron and the kids I hardly get a word in, no wonder I talk so much on hereLOL I am always telling them to be quiet!

I do feel sorry for Alana not being able to see other kids atm, but it will be warmer weather soon, so ass soon as the sun pokes it's head out from behind the clouds give me a yell and we'll organise to get together, Alana won't now herself when she meets my tribe, although hopefully she will only have to see the babies cos it will be school time again.

Josh is now having his first sleepover at his friends house tomorrow night, I have told him if he wants to come home I will come and get him, and he is taking his own lamp cos he's scared of the dark.LOL I'm sure he'll be fine but it's just another reminder that he is growing up too. He will be 6 on the 14th of July so time has just flown, wasn't long ago we were watching him do what Jessica is doing. It was funny last night cos my brother pointed to a photo on the wall and said to his new gf, that's Jessica there! (Jessica was in bed so she didn't get to meet her), I laughed and said "Well Jessica does look like that exactly like that, but that is Joshua in the picture. My brother couldn't believe it and neither can we. The kids are all identical, like I have had quads over 4 yrsLOL

We are going to the Royal chn's hospital tomorrow for Jessica's eye check up and I am hoping that they don't do what someone else was telling me. Her little girl was waiting for ages after the initial appt cos they refferred her to another dept. I am wanting them just to tell me what to do to fix it, it is a slight turn but not too bad, so hopefully it's easily fixed. I am thinking of taking the kids to the movies on the way back, we'll have to see what happens.

Oh and I almost forgot, Michelle what is Lani's song she sings, it is si cute when they start singing!

How exciting for Josh, his first sleepover. I guess if taking his lamp with him makes him feel more comfortable than its a good thing. Even though I did have a little chuckle.

I'm going to be so nervous when Alana has her first sleep over. I was a very nervous child when it came to sleep overs. Probably 9 out of 10 times my friends parents would have to ring my mum and dad to pick me up. It even happened with family. Of course I got over it, but its always something that stuck in my mind.

Definitely when the weather is warmer it would be good to get the kids together. It would be good for Alana to play with Jessica. It would be so cute.

I love your pic of Lani, mooshie. She's such a cutie pie! How do you get anything done?! You are so good for being organised... Christmas already?! I really should take a leaf out of your book. I know that Target is having a toys sale from 21/7, so maybe I should get my bum into gear before then. How's Lani's teeth? It must be something in the air - Charlie is being a little bugger because of his teeth too. Thank god it's only ever temporary! Don't think I could stand too much of it... I'm sure the bubs couldn't either.

Hooray, 10 months for Jess! It goes so fast... and taking steps! What a little darling... good girl! Won't be long and she'll be running, and then you won't know what to do with yourself! IKWYM about MIL - if she's as bad as Everybody Loves Raymond then I send you lots of big hugs! Mine isn't too bad, but every now and then she says something that really annoys me. Today she looked after Charlie while DH and went to the movies (War Of The Worlds). She just feeds him all day - so much food. Today, as we were leaving, he pulled my hair (for the first time), so I firmly said, "No, Charlie, don't pull Mummy's hair". Then he did it again, so I said it again. Then MIL said, "He's only doing it because it gets a reaction - you need to distract him." BULL$*#@! He is very good at learning "no" - I don't even have to put anything up around the house because he knows what he can and can't touch. This was just me teaching him that he can't pull my hair, and it really annoyed me that she thought she knew better. How could I distract him properly anyway when I had him in one arm and the nappy bag, a grocery bag and my handbag in the other?! It drives me nuts... I usually don't have any problems with her at all - she's actually wonderful - but this really annoyed me. Sorry, will stop venting now! Anyway, I hope Jessica's appt goes well - let us know.

Hi again, Lara! Wow - is Alana 9 months already? Time flies. It must be hard for Alana in winter - especially in Vic. Bloody cold down there - I don't know how all you Victorians stand it! I think you should all move to sunny Brisbane - it rocks up here. Wish I coud join in with your get togethers, but it's a bit far for you to travel, I think! Anyway, it's great to have you in here again.

Phew... so much to say, so little time! Hope the "new" girls make their appearances soon... and I hope there's some Brissie gals among them. I finally feel like I'm ready to start meeting other mothers - I was a bit nervous to before, but talking to all of you wonderful ladies on here has helped. Of course, now that I want to do that I probably won't have time - I'm going back to uni to do one subject this semester (don't think I could handle more than that right now). I don't want to, but it has to be done eventually. I feel bad having to 'hand over' Charlie to my mum a couple of afternoons a week - I don't want to use up all my babysitting favours, and I feel like I'm neglecting him a bit. He's so cute - sometimes I can't quite believe that he's mine. Although he bit me while he was feeding a couple of times today, so I wasn't happy about that. The poor thing is teething again though so I can kind of understand it - he's already got four on the top and two on the bottom, and it seems like his canines on the top are coming through.

Anyway, I would love to write more, but this post is epic enough! Hope you all had a lovely weekend.

Sometimes I wish we lived somewhere warmer. Though to be quite honest I'm not sure that it would make a huge difference to Alana's overall health.

I know what you mean about MIL and FIL. Its good that you get along with her most of the time. I think mine annoy the crap out me like Michelle's. Like tonight. They picked Frank up to go to a funeral or what ever that thing is they have the day before a funeral. Anyway Frank usually baths Alana, so I get the comment "who's going to bath Alana then?" Well who do you think! I said " Well I am her mother and quite capable of bathing my daughter" I get these snide remarks to like if I'm doing the ironing "oh your ironing" or if the washing machine is going "Are you doing washing". I don't know what she means. How does she think these things get done. I won't even go into FIL. He's a whole other pain in my ass!!! I just love my Mum and Dad.

Anyway hope you all have a good night. And YAY Glenn was evicted from the house!
