Hey hun, Sisters scar was numb for well over a month after having it and still very tender even 3 or 4 months onwards. She was told this was really quite normal :)
I still have numb spots 2 years later Danni. My mum had her last (of four) c/s 21 years ago last October & still has numb spots. It's quite common. I think it's because the nerves are severed during the op & maybe some aren't repaired properly?????
wow i had no idea!!!
Yeah, my scar still feels kinda funny. I'm not sure if I'd describe it as numb, but wierd. I absolutely HATE it being touched.
Very normal (and freaky feeling!!)
I've only recently got full feeling back just under my scar and my c/s was nearly 7 months ago.
I've heard it can take much longer than that and still be normal though.
Just remember they cut through nerves and muscle so its completely normal to lose feeling accross and around your scar. Mine has no feeling at all!
I have had 2 ceasareans, my last being 4 and a half years ago an I am still numb down there, sometimes even gets itchy still which is annoying. I am having another ceasarean in July and am totally freaked out about getting the same scar cut through again.
