too much fluid
i went to see my ob today and she said i was slightly larger then normal at 28 weeks. she didnt seem too concerned and said i might have a bit of extra fluid. im short (152cm) so she also said that shorter ppl will look bigger and carry differently then taller ppl would. but now im wondering if having too much fluid is a bad thing for the baby?? has anyone else experienced this? now im not sure if she meant a build up of fluid retention (which i have) or too much amniotic fluid. but i didnt ask too many questions at the time coz she didnt seem concerned. ofcourse now it plays on my mind ARGH!!!

Hi Sarak
I wish that OB's would not talk like that and scare new mums. There is no such thing as 'slightly larger than normal' because there is no normal. You may well have a little extra fluid (this is not a problem) but it is more likely that your baby is in a position that makes you measure a little larger than what your OB thinks is 'normal'.
Try not to worry hun I'm sure that there is no problem
