20w3d - HB on doppler?
This morning I used my doppler to record the HB but couldn't find it! I've used the doppler twice before in this pregnancy and found the HB straight away (though I haven't used it in about 7 weeks). I was a little rushed this morning and only tried for a minute or two and am hoping that this afternoon when I have more time I'll be able to find it.
Just wondering if maybe because the baby has grown so much since the last time I used it that the HB isn't where it has been previously? Maybe I just need to try for a little while longer?
I have a appt this afternoon so I'll ask the dr if he can find it but I'm just a little bit concerned! I've been feeling kicks every few days but haven't felt them in about 2 days.
Has anyone else not been able to find teh HB using a doppler after previously finding it?

if you havent felt movement for 2 days i would ring NOW and see someone, dont wait til this arvo!!! just ring the hospital

Yes only once when a midwife tried to find it at around 15w. Although she tried for 15 minutes and couldnt hear it she wasnt concerned as the numbers were coming up.
Also my baby is really active (like yesterday he was awake from 7am until about 3 in the afternoon!) but a few days of this is always followed by two days of being really quiet. So try not to worry in the meantime as every bub acts in it's own unique way.
Let us know how you go.

def worth asking your dr when you go in but ia ms ure all is ok, sometimes i feel mvts and other days not...
i wanted to get a doppler but this is why i decided against it as i would scare myself if i could not find it (and we are not experts!!) - i am sure the baby would have moved and so harder to find, but def worth asking at Dr...
Thinking of you, let us know how you get along.

I had my appt and all is well :) HB is 150bpm.
I realised why my doppler wouldn't work - when I put the recording cable in you can't hear anything! As soon as I tried tonight I did it without the recording cable & there it was! I've been feeling kicks all day since about 15 minutes after I wrote that first post :)

That's great news! So glad all is well...

great to hear all is well i was going to say it took my dr a whle to find the hb the last time so not to worry and to just spend a little more time next time... as someone else said i also din't hire a doppler for fear of freaking myself out unnessisarily thats just the kinda person i am :) glad u figured it out though pesky recording cord!!!

Hehe yeah at least I know now so I won't be making that mistake again :)
How have you been noni? I haven't spoken to you in here in quite a while.

I'm so glad everythings ok must have been a big relief for you!

Yeah it was a huge relief! I feel so silly not thinking about taking the recording cord out to check though lol now I just have to figure out a way to actually record it!
