Fennel tea?
A friend recommended fennel tea for helping infant wind. Apparently if I drink the tea myself, the tummy settling benefits get passed through the milk. I've known about it settling our adult tummies for a long time but this is the first I've heard for drinking it yourself to treat your baby's guts. -I have a mug in front of me right now!
Anyone else heard of this?
Logan deffinately doesn't yell and freak out enough to class it as colic, but in the late aftrnoon and evening he gets so red in the face and his whole body goes tense and he yells and yells and yells. Constant comfort feeds and carrying him seem to be the only things to help settle him at this time. At the end he lets out a few really good farts and seems to be none the worse for wear. I give him perhaps 2-4 doses of infacol a day and whilst simethicone is safe, I'd like to try something totally natural if I can.
Anyone else tried fennel tea?

Hi Adele,
Yes, I have heard of this. I tried it in a herb mixture and also in a tea. I quite like it. Can't really say that I noticed a dramatic difference but it didn't hurt either. Also meant to help with breast milk production.
Also chamomile is also supposed to help - was recommended by my M&CH Nurse and I drank this often to calm DS stomach down.
The other thing that was recommended to me which is natural, and you might be able to get in Europe, was Iberogast - a liquid of various herbs. Manufactured in Germany by Steigerwald. Again, can't say that I noticed a dramatic difference with this either but i think that is how natural medicines work, more gentle.
Infacol totally did not work for us.
ALL THE BEST.
