Yep, but it is common to have 1 godfather & 2 godmothers for a baby girl & vice versa for a baby boy.

Nope, ours was private with the minister that married us.

3. Was your held within a mass service - it was a seperate service, where 4 children all got baptised at the same time.
4. Where did you hold the after party - at home. We're walking distance from the church, so everyone parked here, trooped over to the church, then trooped back after the service.
5. What food did you serve - finger foods like sushi, chicken nuggets, party pies etc (it was 2pm so really it was afternoon tea-time) Also a christening cake.
6. Did you have baptism candles - yes, we were asked to bring a candle, so I got a personalised one with his name and date of baptism. His godparents got matching smaller candles with a special message to each of them from Charlie.

1. the family baptismal gown...over 100 years old...about 7 feet long!
2. one godmother & one godfather each, except for DD, who has more
3. during Mass, for several reasons; for one it was the only way to have only our baby baptised. I did not want to be part of a large group.
4. I don't think there's any special word for the party. We held ours at home. For my first DS, it was at my parents' house.
5. For the latest one, Mass was Sunday at 5 pm so I served a hot meal!! a beef burgundy stew which I had made the day before, potatoes which dh made as soon as we came home while everyone was having nibblies. Nibbly tray made up in the afternoon before we left. I liked that it was in the evening because we had all day to get ready.
6. Yes. I meant to buy a special one but I forgot.
