Online shopping carts

Hello, new to this forum and awaiting marketplace membership and just wondering if anyone can recommend a good place to get an online shopping cart. I have looked at a few today but I am a bit confused as to how it all works. I'm looking for something I can look after myself and put onto my webpage myself and I'm not all that HTML competent.

We use oscommerce. When our hosting company set us all up it was part of what they did. We didn't have to load anything on, just made our own modifications as we wanted. Maybe ask your hosting company what they can do?
