Hi all,
I wanted to wash some of Jellybean's clothes this weekend and was wondering if normal detergent that I use is ok or do I need to us something else?

I've been using Amolin, I think alot of people use it to wash bubs clothes. It's good for sensitive skin. HTHs :)
ETA I love the smell of it too.
i used lux - but after prolonged use it did tend to clog the washing machine up . I love the smell of it though....
I washed bub's clothes the other day in lux, it has a really nice smell :)
I've been stocking up on Omo Sensitive for all of bub's stuff.
I use normal powder - so much easier to wash everyone's things together and DS touches my clothes almost as much as his clothes, so a special powder seemed a bit silly to me.
I just use normal soap powder too, but then none of my kids have sensitive skin either. I don't think it matters that much, but it doesn't hurt kwim?
i have sensitive skin but i use a normal powder biozet? with softener i figure if i am allergic to certain powders theres a chance bubs will be so i will just be washing in the same powder we use unless it seems to present a problem
I always used Lux for a while then switched to wool wash..
Amolin here
amolin too
I used amolin for the first 12 months. As Ryn says its expensive to buy special detergent just for DS, so I washed eveyones clothes in it.
I have a front loader, so there was not much choice to begin with, but now I use omo sensitive powder or the regular omo matic liquid.
If I had a top loader I'd have gone with Lux flakes. Theres (well there used to be anyway) a factory outlet in port melbourne that sells them cheaper.
I used Lux for quite a while.. probably until he was about 4 months then i slowly switched over to our normal stuff.
Omo Sensitive or Bio Zet. DS has eczema and every time I have tried something else his eczema flares up again. You can't go wrong with using Omo Sensitive to be on the safe side until you work out how sensitive your baby's skin is - I used this exclusively up until very recently. And you can wash everyone's clothes in together with that stuff, no need for a separate load. I've never seen the point of separating out the baby's clothes, why create more work for myself?
I like Bio Zet because it has a nice non-overpowering fragrance, is often on special and you can buy it in bulk. I have only ever seen Omo Sensitive on special once and it doesn't come in those nice big bulk boxes so I was quite pleased when I found that DS' eczema wasn't aggravated by Bio Zet.
I personally didn't like the smell of Amolin and I'm paranoid about Amolin anything because the Amolin baby wipes gave him terrible nappy rash. And I prefer to use powder anyway.
I'm using Lux at the moment but I may go back to normal once I find out whether the bub has sensitive skin or not.
Jackson does have slightly sensitive skin, I just wash all our clothes together with a sensitive detergent, and will do the same with Leo's.
Just a tip - if you have a frontloader is a good idea to use sensitive powder anyway as a high percentage of people have allergies to frontloader powder. I use OMO Matic sensitive.
Amolin or Purity here. Never had a problem with either.
I started to break out in eczema myself during preg with normal powder so decided I'd better be careful with bubs clothes.
I use normal detergent, the same one that I use for my own clothes.
