It's now been 8 weeks since my c-section, and i've been bleeding every day since! I was told that breast feeding mothers often find this, but i'm not convinced. Has anyone else found this?
Thanks xx

WelshGirl,
I didn't have a c cection. But with #1 I bled for 12 weeks and with #2 6 weeks. B/f both babies. Not sure if that helps but I think everyone is different. I know with ds my mchn said if it went longer than 12 then I was to go see dr just to get it checked.
I was bleeding for about 8 weeks straight, and then on and off for another 4 weeks after birth. I didn't have a c/s though, and I also didnt b/f for very long...
If you are worried about it though, I would definately go and check with your GP...
I didn't have a c/sect either but I bled for 11 wks straight. They gave me an u/sound and I had some retained product but antibodicts cleared it
Love
I'd say if you're at all concerned about it, then have a chat to your GP or CHN about it who will be able to tell you what's normal and what's not.
Thanks for all the info. Will run it by the GP just to be on the safe side x
WelshGirl, Has it cleared up, did you get it checked out? Hope you are feeling better.
Hey Gwen, how did you go with the Dr?
I bled for 8 weeks post c/s with first baby.
I bled for 6 weeks post VBAC with second baby.
Everybody and pregnancy is comepletely different. Unless you are losing an excessive amount of blood and are feeling weak beyond the sleep deprivation, I'd say everything is normal. :D
Always about 6 weeks for me, but very scant after the first couple of weeks.
