Reading in class or reading on their own? In class they did a thing with Mr Men/Little Miss books for a few weeks where they read them and then had to make up their own character. (He is in yr1 - NSW)
On his own he is reading Dr Suess books and a few others we have around here - mainly DK books.
Reading in class.. thanks for ur help ladies!!
If she's at uni, she should have access to the English syllabus, which gives a whole bunch of them. Not sure what state she is in, but in nsw, it is available on line through the Board of Studies website. She could also ask a librarian at a local library, or better yet, a teacher librarian in a school. Another good place to look would be the books which have won awards. If she googles "book week awards" she should get some info that way
(man, I miss teaching, especially my little Year Ones!)
Thanks Qhi...!!
My Uni literacy lecturers both like Anthony Browne books for early years. My daughter in prep seems to know a lot about Pamela Allen books.
