my DS is 9mths old, he has always had an attitude on him, i can see that he is going to be one of these little ones that throw huge tantrums, any suggestions on how to deal with it now to try and prevent it becoming to bad.
He is excellent at his tantrums screaming and fighting with you.
My DD was a lovely tanty thrower when she was younger. When it was at home, I'd just get up and walk away from her. She HATED it, and eventually learned that when she throws one, then Mum doesn't want to be near her. I wouldn't yell at her or even give a reaction, except to walk away. It was actually good for me to, because I was able to remain calm by taking in a big breath!
In shopping centres she'd throw one and I'd walk away (not too far) and watch her out of the corner of my eye - you can't be to careful with all the wierdos around these days. Eventually a little old lady would walk up to her after giving me a knowing look and ask her what all the fuss was about. Scared the crap out of her and she'd come running back to me!
They do grow out of it but you do have to persevere and never give in to them, otherwise you're telling them it's ok to throw a tanty to get what they want.

Hopefully he grows out of it, but oh well if he doesn't he's a boy after all haha. He will still be my little man thats for sure!!
I agree, walk away. Nina's started doing this, and I'll walk away, and within seconds she's gotten over it and starts playing.
i walk away but Rhylie just crys and follows me with his army crawl haha, he is a cheeky bugger
